Terms of Use of Debit and Credit Cards on ZulePay

Last updated: 9 September 2026 · Version: 1.0.0 · Effective date: 9 September 2026

1. About this document

These terms ("Card Terms") govern your use of debit and credit cards (domestic and, where offered, international) on ZulePay — currently for loading your Main Wallet through our payment gateway partners (currently Razorpay). They apply in addition to the General Terms and Conditions, the Wallet Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Cancellation & Refund Policy. Capitalised terms have the meanings in the General Terms.

2. Scope of card usage

  1. Cards may be used to load your Main Wallet up to the per-order cap (currently ₹2,00,000) and your KYC tier limits.
  2. You may use only a card issued in your own name. Loads must originate from a source owned by you; we may reject or reverse loads made with third-party cards where required for compliance.
  3. Additional card-based features (if introduced, such as card payments to merchants) will be governed by these Card Terms as updated, and by the terms shown at the time of the transaction.

3. Card data, tokenisation and security

  1. ZulePay does not store your raw card details. Card data is handled by our PCI-DSS compliant gateway partners in accordance with the RBI's card tokenisation framework; where you consent, cards are stored as tokens for convenience.
  2. Card transactions are authenticated per your card issuer's requirements (OTP / 3-D Secure / risk-based authentication).
  3. You must keep your card details, CVV, OTPs and card controls confidential. ZulePay staff will never ask for your card PIN, CVV or OTP.

4. Authorisation and confirmation

  1. A card load is complete only when the gateway and card issuer approve it. Approvals, declines, and holds are determined by your card issuer and the card network; ZulePay does not control them.
  2. A "pending" authorisation on your card may be placed before completion; if the load fails, the authorisation is released by your issuer per their timelines.

5. Fees

Card loads carry a fee of 2.00% of the load amount plus GST, shown before you confirm. Fees may be revised per Section 16 of the General Terms.

6. Failed loads and refunds

  1. If a card load fails after debit, the amount is refunded per the Cancellation & Refund Policy — to the source (card) or to your Main Wallet as applicable.
  2. Refunds to a card depend on your issuer's processing timelines and may take several working days to reflect.

7. Chargebacks and disputes

  1. You should first raise card-load issues with ZulePay support; we will investigate and resolve or reverse where appropriate.
  2. You may also raise a chargeback with your card issuer per the card network's dispute rules. If a chargeback is upheld against us for a load you used, the corresponding wallet balance (or transaction) may be reversed, and we may require restitution where the underlying funds were used.
  3. Frivolous or fraudulent chargebacks are treated as misuse under Section 19 of the General Terms.

8. Issuer and network terms apply

Your card issuer's terms and the applicable card network rules govern your card itself — limits, international usage, currency conversion (for international users), and liability for unauthorised card transactions under the RBI's framework. ZulePay is not a party to your card contract.

9. Liability

  1. Liability for unauthorised card transactions follows your issuer's terms and the RBI's customer-protection framework; report suspected card misuse to your issuer and to us immediately.
  2. Liability for unauthorised wallet transactions after a completed load follows the General Terms (Section 25).
